Francesco Aurelio Bongiorno is an experienced Sports Venue professional with thirty years of experience in the design, project management, construction and operation of multiple large sports complexes. This includes the Hospitality Programme in coordination with all functional areas involved in major sports operations and programs.
Portfolio of large sports venue programmes in Qatar and Saudi Arabia, including the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ from inception to construction, completion and event operation.
Francesco studied at the University of Rome with a master in architecture. He worked for some of the most respectable and globally recognised engineering organizations in Italy, UK, USA and the Middle East.
Since March 2023 he has been working with Mace for the Ministry of Sport in Riyadh as a Design Director and is engaged with the Ministry of Sport Programme.
